Laura Besada, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience serving diverse populations throughout South Florida. Throughout her career, she has worked in some of the region's most demanding and impactful settings, including Ryder Trauma Center in Miami-Dade and the Lazarus Project at Camillus House Shelter, providing care to individuals facing complex mental health, medical, and social challenges.
Her clinical experience spans emergency and trauma care, community mental health, homelessness outreach, addiction treatment, and private psychiatric practice. These experiences have given her a profound appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of meeting patients where they are, without judgment.
Laura approaches every patient through a trauma-informed, person-centered lens while incorporating the principles of integrative psychiatry into her practice. She believes mental health cannot be separated from physical health, lifestyle, relationships, nutrition, sleep, stress, and overall well-being. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, Laura takes a comprehensive approach to understanding the whole person, identifying underlying contributors to emotional distress, and developing individualized treatment plans that support long-term healing and wellness.
Her professional interests include anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, women's mental health, life transitions, and stress management. She is dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their treatment journey.
At I Amadeus Psychiatry, Laura's mission is to provide accessible, compassionate, and personalized mental health care that helps patients achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in their well-being. She believes that healing begins with connection, trust, and individualized care. Whether someone is facing a new challenge or has been struggling for years, Laura is committed to helping them find hope, healing, and a path forward.
I Amadeus is a private‑pay telehealth psychiatry practice created for adults in Florida who need real mental health care without long waitlists, complicated portals, or rushed fifteen‑minute visits. We focus on discreet, modern, and evidence‑informed care—delivered online—so you can address anxiety, depression, ADHD, and postpartum mental health concerns from a space that actually works for your life.
Our appointments are available from 6AM–6PM, 7 days a week, which means you can schedule a visit before work, between meetings, or after the kids are settled. Many patients are seen within 24 hours. Instead of spending weeks trying to “get in,” you can move straight to a structured evaluation and a clear plan.
There is no shortage of mental health apps and large platforms promising “quick” care. I Amadeus was built as an alternative: focused, local to Florida, and intentionally small enough to keep your care personal.
Key differences:
You’re not a ticket number in a queue. You’re a person with a specific story, timeline, and goals.
